Your customer list is the business. We treat it that way
You are handing a software company the contact details of every customer you have. That deserves a clear answer on where the data sits, who can reach it, and what happens if you walk away.
Your customer data belongs to you. It is stored encrypted, is visible only to the accounts you authorise at your own organisation, is never sold or shared with other businesses, and is exportable in full at any time — including during and after cancellation.
What we will and will not do with your data
Data moves over HTTPS and is stored encrypted. Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
Role-based access means owners, branch managers and advisors see only what their role needs. No other Serviciing customer can see your data.
Your customer list is not a marketing asset, is not sold to third parties, and is not used to advertise to your customers on anyone else’s behalf.
Customers, vehicles and full service history come out as a spreadsheet whenever you want it — not just when you are leaving.
Messaging follows WhatsApp’s rules for business communication. A customer who opts out stops receiving messages permanently, across every branch.
On written request we permanently delete your organisation’s data from production and backups within 30 days.
Where we draw the line on messaging
The quickest way to destroy the value of this product is to turn it into a marketing channel. So there are limits built in that we will not remove on request.
- Every message is tied to a service event — a due reminder, a booking confirmation, an appointment reminder or a rating request. There is no promotional broadcast, and no way to send one.
- The frequency is fixed by us and identical for every service centre: four weekly booking reminders, a confirmation, a day-before reminder and one rating request per service cycle. It cannot be turned up.
- The booking sequence stops as soon as the customer books.
- Opt-out is one step for the customer and permanent once used.
What we ask of you
The data you upload should be customers you have an existing service relationship with. Serviciing is for following up with people who have brought you a vehicle — it is not a tool for messaging a purchased contact list, and we will not help you use it that way.
Data questions
Seven at most, across a whole service cycle. Booking reminders start four weeks before the service is due and repeat weekly — four in total — and they stop the moment the customer books. Then a booking confirmation, a reminder the day before the appointment, and one rating request after the service is completed.
No. The schedule and the messages are fixed by us and are the same for every service centre on Serviciing. That is a deliberate trade: it means there is nothing to configure before you go live, no decisions to get wrong, and no way for the frequency to be turned up to a level that annoys your customers. If your workshop genuinely needs a different cadence, say so at the demo rather than after subscribing.
You do. Your customer and vehicle records are exportable at any time, including during and after cancellation, and they remain yours if you stop using Serviciing.
Ask the hard questions on the call
If your business has specific requirements on data handling or reporting, raise them at the demo and you will get a direct answer.
